Big Up Southend! is all about celebrating the talent that Southend has to offer - from small business owners, to creatives and performers.

What is Big Up Southend?
Big Up Southend is a creative day held on the last Saturday of every month. (Unless otherwise stated) on the first floor of the Victoria Shopping Centre.

11am to 4pm.

We hold a free craft activity each month. This can range from colouring to 3d printing!

To trade at the market, please fill in the trader’s form. The pitches are allocated on a first come first serve basis. The link to book a stall will be made live on a rolling basis, with 3 months block bookings being available.
Once you have been approved, you will be added to a monthly mailing list where the booking link will be send out. Simply book online.
A few days before the event, you will be sent a briefing document with all of the event information on. -
Big Up Southend was founded by The Design Cabin Community C.I.C, IndiRock and Show Up Southend in April 2023.

For a 8ft pitch is £25 (plus booking fee).

Depending on the month, we have up to 35 stalls.

To book your space, simply book through our Traders form. All traders that have been accepted will have access to the Eventbrite booking link. When the booking link is live, we will send it to all who have filled in the trader’s form.
Bookings and payment are taken through Eventbrite on a first come first serve basis. -
We are open to all performances, being music, theatre, poetry, comedy, dance or spoken word.

Go down the slope underneath the shopping centre, where the sports bar is on the corner. Underneath where Slug and Lettuce is. As you come into the loading bay, you will see a barrier. Please buzz the barrier and speak to a member of the security team, who will take a note of your number plate. Please enter through the barrier 1 car at a time. No tail gating please.
Once through turn left into the loading area and follow the Big Up Southend Arrows to the goods lift.
Take the Goods lift to the 1st floor where you will find more arrows guiding you to the market. -
Please note you cannot park in the loading bay and will be liable for a parking fine from Southend City Council should you do so.

Trade.
To trade at our events you must have your own public liability insurance. To apply all you need is 3 product lines to sell and have a small stock.

Perform.
To perform, we ask you to fill out the form attached. You will be supplied with a mic, mic stand, speaker and sound technician.

Volunteer.
Do you want to help the next generation of business owners and performers? Why not volunteer your time at our events to support the upcoming talent! Reasonable expenses covered. (Travel and Lunch allowance).
