The Design Cabin Community C.I.C is a not-for-profit social enterprise rooted in South Essex.

We bring together people, places and ideas to build local wealth, develop individual skills and create local entrepreneurial opportunities.

We believe that towns thrive when local people have the confidence, space and support to learn, create, trade, connect and lead. That is why we turn ideas into practical opportunities: from community venues and cultural events to markets, volunteering, training and support for local businesses.

A future where underused spaces become welcoming community assets; where creativity can become confidence and income; and where local people are able to shape the places they call home.

We develop, manage and programme welcoming places where communities can meet, celebrate, learn, access support and bring new ideas to life.

We create routes for makers, traders, performers and emerging entrepreneurs to test ideas, reach new audiences and build sustainable local businesses.

Through volunteering, training, events and hands-on experience, we help people develop practical skills, stronger networks and belief in what they can achieve.
We make culture and community more accessible

We create affordable, inclusive opportunities for people to take part in events, activities and shared experiences close to home.

We work in partnership with residents, local businesses, voluntary organisations, schools, funders and public-sector partners. By sharing knowledge, resources and ambition, we create stronger opportunities and deliver more lasting change for our communities.
