3D Printing Pen Parties
Looking for a unique and creative party experience that will leave your guests with a one-of-a-kind souvenir to take home? Look no further than our 3D Printing Pen Parties!
Our handheld 3D printing pens allow participants to control the recycled plastic filament and create both 2D and 3D objects freehand. With no need for extensive training or software knowledge, everyone can enjoy the thrill of designing their own creations.
Our experienced instructors will guide your guests through the process, providing fun challenges for individuals and groups to complete. And at the end of the party, your guests will take home their own 3D masterpieces.
But that's not all - our commitment to sustainability means that all scraps created during our parties are collected and sent to our partners for shredding and remanufacturing into new 3D filament. This means that our parties have zero plastic wastage, so you can feel good about hosting an eco-friendly event.

3D Printing Pen Parties FAQs

At the party, the participants will firstly be taught how to use the pens basic functions safely. How to load and unload the filament and how to adjust the speed of the pen. This process usually takes around 15 to 30 minutes.
Once the participants have full understanding of the pen, we then bring out some fun templates for the participants to begin to trace. These templates help create puzzle pieces that all slot together to form a 3D object. We have a vast array of templates ranging from a simple keychain all the way up to a model of Tower Bridge. (Dependent on age and ability of participants)

We supply: 3D printing Pens, Filament, Extension leads, Templates and fun!
Once booked, we will contact you to discuss your parties requirements.

At Home Parties
If you are having the party at home, all we ask for is access to a table with chairs, which accommodates your party size (A dining table is fine.) and access to a plug socket. If you need any support with tables and chairs, please let us know.
At a venue.
If you are hosting a party at a hired venue, all we need to know is the location, room size and if you have access to tables and chairs.
*We recommend that you host this party in a well ventilated area, with access to opening windows.

We ask to arrive 30 minutes before the invited guests arrive. This is to allow us time to set up the printing stations and make sure the extension leads are taped down to avoid creating trip hazards.

In our over 12 year old packages, we use 3D printing pens that reach temperatures of 200 degrees. When the plastic is extruded through the pen, the plastic can come out hot to the touch.
In our parties for under 12’s we use a specially adapted type of 3D printing pen, which melts the plastic as a lower temperature and is completely safe to touch for younger participants.

Booking FAQs

Within 48 hours of you placing a booking, you will be sent an invoice for 50% of the booking total. Bookings are not held until we receive then cleared funds.

We take a 50% upfront deposit to hold the booking. 5 days before your booking we will request the remainer of your booking, usually 50%.

Our fully trained staff are here to support children of all ages and abilities. If your in need of additional support during your party we are happy to help. If in doubt, email us on: parties@thedesigncabin.community.

Bookings cancelled before 7 days of the party will be refunded in full.
Bookings cancelled within the 7 days of the party date, will receive a 25% of the 50% deposit back.

Micro-Factory Parties
